February 28th is Rare Disease Day.

To mark this date, iCBR is inviting the society to attend the event “Between Waves and Inspiration: A Conversation with Marta Paço”. During the session, the public will have the opportunity to learn about the inspiring story of Marta Paço, a four-time world champion in adapted surfing for the blind, who combines her talent in the sea with her dedication as a university student.

The session will also feature her coach, Tiago Prieto, who will bring a unique perspective on teamwork, challenges and the road to the top, and Gingko, her guide dog.

The event takes place on February 28th at 2:30 p.m. in Amphitheatre 1 of FMUC's Subunit 1, at Polo III of the University of Coimbra.
