Partnerships and Entrepreneurship

The solid partnership between our institute and ULS Coimbra has been a major catalyst for developing our translational research, fostered by collaborations with the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries. We are one of the founders of Biocant, the unique Portuguese biotechnological park, and continue participating in this Technology Transfer ecosystem through industrial collaborations and the creation of innovative spin-offs.

Strategic Localization

The privileged position of our institute in the central region of Portugal, situated within the academic environment of the University of Coimbra campus and the entrepreneur Biocant Technological Park, is an important contributor to the dynamic of translational activity in healthcare.
