The PAS GRAS project: Reduction of metabolic risks, environmental and behavioural determinants of obesity in children, adolescents and young adults, led by the University of Coimbra (UC) and coordinated by researchers from CNC-UC (Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra) and iCBR (Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research), will promote a series of events as part of the launch of a campaign to promote the adoption of healthy habits, under the theme of World Obesity Day, celebrated annually on 4 March.
One of the events will be the "More flavour, more health" workshop, aimed at the university community. Promoted in partnership with UC Social Action Services (SASUC), the activity will take place on 13 March, at 4pm, in the Yellow Canteen, with pre-registration required at https://ls.uc.pt/index.php/285881. It aims to show participants how to use aromatic herbs and mushrooms to add new flavours to their dishes in a healthy and sustainable way.
On 29 March at 10.30am, another activity will take place: the walk 'In between Greens and Blues', in the Choupal National Forest, organised in partnership with the UC Centre for Geography and Spatial Planning Studies. This activity aims to highlight the importance of urban green spaces for people's health and well-being, as well as their role in environmental sustainability and climate resilience.
