The NHS is everyone's heritage: those who need it today and those who will need it tomorrow. That's why it's important to analyze, propose, transform and monitor. Strategic vision and action are needed, as well as a new governance model for the health system and the NHS. Transformations are needed to respond to today's challenges. The Foundation for Health - NHS is a civic organization, independent of any political or economic power. Its mission is to promote, within its scope of action, the safeguarding and development of an SNS that serves all Portuguese people. It carries out this mission by monitoring, analysing and disseminating relevant facts about the evolution of the NHS, mobilizing Portuguese society to learn about them and contribute to finding the most desirable solutions.
