Overview

I hold a PhD in Biology and I have decade of experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology research. Throughout my career, I have developed excellent communication skills, by producing various scientific and medical communication activities, written successful scientific grant proposals, and earning recognition as a patented author. As a dedicated science communicator, I have experience in medical writing and effectively bridging the gap between scientific complexities and public understanding. In my role at MIA-Portugal, I am responsible for creating, organizing, and executing communication strategies that foster meaningful engagement between scientists and diverse audiences. I organize science dissemination events, including monthly scientific seminars, and actively contribute to initiatives such as the European Researcher's Night and International Brain Week. Furthermore, I successfully fundraised efforts to support science communication initiatives. At MIA-Portugal, I am in charge for managing all external communication endeavors, including media coverage and social media presence. Through these efforts, I am committed to promoting public awareness of the importance of scientific research.
