Overview

I am a research professional with a scientific background in neurodegenerative diseases and strong leadership and research management skills.

In my previous roles as Head of Research at Alzheimer’s Research UK and Head of Translation Operations at the Francis Crick Institute in London, I gained experience in operational planning and developing and delivering strategy, while overseeing a broad portfolio of research and funding programmes. My key strength is my ability to operationalise strategic initiatives in cross-functional teams whilst engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the biomedical sector in academia, public and charitable sectors, and industry.

At the Multidisciplinary Institute of Ageing (MIA-Portugal), I work with the senior leadership team to operationalise the strategy of the institute, with a particular focus on external funding, ethics, human resources, and the development of an operational strategy.
