Inês Pinto is a PhD candidate in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine (PDBEB) of the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra. She has a Master's degree in Molecular Biomedicine from the University of Aveiro and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Beira Interior. Her research interests are focused on targeted delivery nanoplatforms, cancer immunotherapy, and oncobiology. Since 2022, she has been developing polymer-based nanosystems for the efficient and low-toxicity delivery of genetic material to T cells, contributing to the advancement of T cell-based therapies for hematological tumors. Currently, she is expanding her research to explore additional cancer immunotherapies by designing drug delivery systems that target both immune and tumor cells, aiming for a synergistic antitumor effect in solid tumors.
