Overview

Mayra Delalibera is an invited researcher in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra and a clinical psychologist. PhD in Health Psychology (2017) from ISPA - University Institute of Social and Life Psychological Sciences, Master’s degree in Palliative Care (2010) and postgraduate in Intervention in the Bereavement Process in Health Sciences (2013) from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, postgraduate in Psycho-Oncology (2008) from the State University of Campinas and first degree in Psychology (2006) by the Federal University of São Carlos. She is a researcher in the Palliative Care, End of Life and Bereavement research group at the University of Coimbra and leads the Family Support line of the Floriani Chair in Palliative Care. In the EOLinPLACE project, she collaborates with the international comparative analysis of place of death classifications and data, and the ethnographic component of the project. She has published over twenty scientific papers, five book chapters and supervised eight master-degree students. Her main research interests are health psychology, emphasising family caregivers, caregiver's needs and burden, oncology, palliative care, and complicated/prolonged grief
