The CiBB Microscopy Platform aims to facilitate science by providing open access to state-of-the-art microscopes supported by highly skilled staff. The Microscopy Platform brings together the MICC and iLAB facilities supporting both light and electron microscopy imaging.
The CiBB Microscopy Platforms offer a wide range of solutions including widefield and confocal microscopes, slide scanning, TEM and SEM microscopes and laser catapult microdissection, together with sample preparation support for all applications. In addition, the Microscopy Platform supports image analysis by providing both expertise and dedicated infrastructure.
The MICC and iLAB platforms are nodes of the Portuguese Platform of BioImaging - PPBI, an infrastructure of the National Roadmap of Research Infrastructures of Strategic Relevance, which is part of the ERIC - EuroBioImaging.

Access and Booking
New users must schedule a hands-on training, with one of the microscopy team member, before they can book any equipment.
