Bispecific nanosystem to mediate a combined and multitarget theranostic strategy to hepatocellular carcinoma

Overview

Project Summary

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, emphasizing the urgent need for the development of new therapies with higher efficacy. Thus, this project aims to generate bispecific theranostic nanosystems, with the ability to target both HCC cells and cancer stem cells, and to co-deliver anticancer and sonophotosensitizer drugs, promoting a strong antitumor activity and reduced side effects.
